Sing-Sing So

+ Dayuang Palinggam, Sumatera Barat.

+ Ati Raja, Sulawesi Selatan.
yang berisi tentang ke-esa-an Tuhan.

And so here it is the osng of Sing-Sing So, with its meaning...

National University Games (POMNAS) 2009

>The past weekdays was a quite busy days for me, I had to study for the final exam for next week, got to prepare for ‘the selection’, and the most exciting part of the week is I was on the committee of the National University Games that held at Palembang. This National University Games is the 9th event that has been held, almost the entire province in Indonesia sent their best university students who also their best athletes. There are 14 sports such as athletics, swimming, karate, tae kwon do, wrestling, and I forget the rest of it.

I was worked as somekind of delegates’ manager there, each of the committee was responsible for one province, and I got Papua! Wow, I was so excited knowing that news, since I have never ever have Papuan friends at all, so in this event I guess I would finally do, and it was right.

at the karate match.
with Vanderi of West Papua and Inda of Papua.

The opening ceremony was held at the Bumi Sriwijaya Stadion, lots of student from junior high to university student came to see the opening ceremony. All of the delegates did the parade of the athletes, but the most interesting was the traditional costume that a pair of each delegate wore. The choir sang the medley of Indonesian folksongs and it added the feel of nationality at that time.

My task was picked them up at the airport, accompanied them to the hotel, drived them to the location of the match, guide them to the local place, and tell them what does the Palembang has. My friends had to work more than I since I never could leave my class at campus. That is why I don’t get the payment as same as them, but it’s no matter at all, the other things that matter for me are experience, new friends, and I could wathced several great matches

.
Me and Alex, an athletic athlet, at the Griya Agung,

I also attend the Farewell night at the Griya Agung (Governor's house), here i met the friends not only the delegates of National University Games, but also the friends from other countries because there was also International Thriathlon and Aquathlon at Palembang, i met some people from US, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Russia, and others.

Thankyuuuuu to Mr. Andre Saputra for invited me to join at this event. This National University Games (or POMNAS/Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa Nasional) is really an interesting time! Ohya, by the way, this money payment that I get could save me to continue my final stage at the English course, Thankyuu GOD, You do help me :) love you.

ONE WEEK OF IED MUBARAK HOLIDAY

So here I am at the end of my one week Ied Mubarak holiday, although it is a very short time to relax, but somehow it stills a blessing that makes me being thankful to God. I learned a lot of things from small and simple thing that I saw, hear, and feel. So it might be unimportant things to you but these small details really brought me lots of inspiration.

ONE. The smile that others gave to me really showed me that the s
ong of What a Wonderful World is based on a true story.

I went home at the day of Idul Fitri, my friends and parents are worried about my feeling, but I did not felt that at all. My flight is on 11.00 am but I have had already there on 9.00 and I’d love to wait there. My waiting time was fun, I could see others who spend the day at the airport and they were all seems very happy, smile is the best present that other people gave to me, everybody smile friendly at me. The greatest smile that made me happy was the smile of the officer there, start with the officer who politely asked my permission before his hands checked me, until the smile of the ticketing officer and the flight attendant.
It is so simple, right? But I learned that somehow our smile is happiness for others and it does bring me inspiration to be a nice person who full of smile :)

TWO. Even the simple stuffs like people’s fashion and the restaurant in the street side really could made me stay alert to reach my goal.

I went to Bandung for unhappy reason, so I only spend a little time visiting Jalan Dago and Jalan Riau which has many fashion store there. I was amazed by the people there, seemed that they are all so confidence with their outfit, and somehow it makes me thing that they have the confidence. The business and restaurants there also made me spirited away to have the courage to make my own money by entrepreneurship. Ohya, last but not least, I’d love the wheater, I always woke up early in the morning and took a bath after it, quite cold but where else I could get this kind of cold water sensation?
It is so simple, right? But I learned that somehow the way you dressed really affect the way others treat you, and also I learned that creativity plus hard work could really brings money. Inspired me to have a great sense of fashion and to be a rich young man.

went shopping on several nice distro
at the jalan riau and jalan dago.

THREE. Sometimes I am too busy having fun with my friends while in fact I actually have a great giant trees.

This short holiday is the time of family or I called as “My Giant Trees”. Of course I gathered with my beloved parents, grandmother, and others. The greatest thing is that I could have a special time to have fun with my siblings. In Bandung, I met my cousins who totally freaking funny, we laughed a lot every time. Then, I went to Mall Artha Gading to hang out with Hendy Dwi Putranto and Aprita Nur Anggraini, the brother and sister that has been with me from my childhood. Just several hours ago, I also had lunch with my other brothers, Abang and Adek (they are both identical twin) at Rice Bowl, Mall Kalibata, and congratulations for you guys for your new education steps, Adek is now on majoring Geology Engineering while Abang is my future colleague as he now is in the faculty of medicine, both of them on the Gajah Mada University, what a great brother.
It is so simple, right? But I learned that somehow I do have a great family, great in the way they showed me good respect and also great in their quality, I do belive my Giant Trees will shine.

FOUR. Instead of money and position, what I really want for my father are two things. The first is the gene of patient, and the gene of perseverance.
I spend most of this time in my Mom’s house than Dad’s (just one single day in Daddy’s house), and I feel kinda guilty for that. Fell guilty because I had to delayed to eat sate kambing together (which is our favorite food), unable to accompany my grandma to the eye treatment, and unable to bring my dad to doctor to do his first check up, since it is so important knowing that I am sure that he has COPD now (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, a disorder in respiratory system).
Dad: “jadi kamu bener udah mau pulang sekarang ini?”
Son: “iya, Yah.”
Dad: “Wah, padahal Ayah rencananya mau ngajak kamu ke Sate Kambing paling enak siang ini”
Son: “…”
Dad: “mm..tapi gapapa lah”
Son: “…”
The last sentence that he said still inside of my mind, include his sound, tone, and emotion. He did not expressed the feeling of sadness, in fact he expressed that it would be just fine, he patient enough to wait for the next time I’ll back home.
And for this point, I don’t know what to say about learning and inspiration. I just feel sad a little bit.

ask donation with an interesting way.
what a creativity.

FIVE. Once again, To prevent is always lot more better that to cure.
Last night, I slept in my 82-years-old-blind grandmother’s bedroom, because she is too afraid of being alone in her everything-dark-world, and she is always loved to accompany by me most of the time. When we have already woke up and sat in our family room, she suddenly asked me, “Where are you live now?” and this one really made me shocked, “Who is your parent’s name?”, Oh dear God, I don’t know how come she becoming like that, I hope she was just confusing instead of getting Alzheimer.
I learned a lot for this situation, from how to being patient to care a patient, knowing the psychology condition of an elderly sick person, and evenmore, how to make the rest of my family still health. It inspired me to become a very good doctor, because soon, their health is on my hand.

So tomorrow I am going back to a city of dream, where I will pursuit for my success which am going to built myself, my family, friends, religion, and also my lovely Indonesia. Give me a prayer, dear friends :) ciao!!!

Superwoman

Last night, a bestfriend of mine, Deedee called me while i was on praying, then she text message me that Encu, one of my bestfriend also, just lost his father. I was shocked. I did not call Deedee back or even replied her message until now. It's not that i don't want to or not care about it, but i am speechless and dont know even a word to say.

Encu is a senior high school friend of mine, we were together in the student body organization. She did not took college but she decided to took a training on one of famous spa majesty in Indonesia. She worked several times in some Indonesian spa, but in the past two years she has been worked in Malaysia.

Then she had to face the fact that her mother is sick. No simple disease, but a kidney failure. As we know that kidney failure does need haemodialysis which is not cheap. I believe that the major reason she work in Malaysia is to help and support her mother medical fee instead thinking for her own sake.

God took her mother not so long from the time she got the kidney failure, and last night God also took the soul of her father.

Inalillahi wa inalillahi rojiun.
Allah creates every single thing, and it would be back to Allah after all.

This post is not a pity writing to her, but a prayer and compliment about a girl that deserved to called as a superwoman for her strength, patient, and also courage.

Dear Encu, I prayed for your mother, father, your brother, and for you. May God always be with
you.

We love you, we really do.

So, Here are the result in order of rank:

1. TOKYO, Japan.

2. OSAKA, Japan.

3. Moscow, Russia.

4. Geneva, Switzerland.

5. Hong Kong, People's Republic of China.

6. Zurich, Switzerland.

7. Copenhagen, Denmark.

8. New York City, USA.

9. Beijing, People's Republic of China.

10. Singapore.

106. (WE LOVE) JAKARTA, INDONESIA :)

see you people in my next post.
I have a class to catch and it's about to begin :)

Makasar, Sulawesi Selatan : HASANUDIN

Wow, cukup bangga yah?

Denpasar , Bali : NGURAH RAI

Padang, Sumatera Barat : MINANGKABAU

Palembang, Sumatera Selatan : SULTAN MAHMUD BADARUDIN II

Cengkareng, Banten : SOEKARNO HATTA

Abepura, Papua : SENTANI

Ini pertama kalinya ngeliat foto bandar udara sentani, and it was amazing.

Yamko Rambe Yamko.

SIAPA ga tau lagu ini?

Yamko Rambe Yamko dari daerah Papua. I'm pretty sure since elementary we are all know and can sing this kinda upbeat folk song. Dari dulu gw juga hafal baik nadanya maupun liriknya, tapi dari kecil gw nanya sama bokap, nyokap, dan guru ga ada satupun yang tau arti lagu ini, sama nasibnya seperti lagu-lagu daerah lainnya contohnya gw hafal lagu apuse, cublak-cublak suweng, si patokaan, tapi ga tau apa artinya.

I'm over and over searching on the google to find the meaning behind the folksongs, but it was quite hard, terutama lagu yamko rambe yamko ini. And guess whaat? It has the meaning of the song!!! and i said: w o w, haha.

To remind you first, this is the lyric.

YAMKO RAMBE YAMKO

He yamko rambe yamko aronawa kombe
Te mino kibi kubano ko bombeko
Yumano bungo awe ade.

Hongke, hongke, hongke riro
Hongke jombe, jombe riro

and this is the MEANING of the song!

Hai jalan yang dicari, sayang perjanjian
Sungguh pembunuhan di dalam negeri

Bunga bangsa, bunga bangsa
Bunga bertaburan
Bunga tumbuh di taman pahlawan.

hmmm, tapi sebenernya gw ga begitu ngerti "Apaa yaah kira-kira berarti maksud lagu ini?". Pembunuhan dalam negeri? Bunga bertaburan? Apakah ini tentang suatu perang? kalo iyaa perang apaa yaah?
hehe...after knowing the meaning of the song, suddenly it comes again with a lot of more guestion.

fyuh..jadi inget dosen gw bilang pas kuliah tentang filsafat dan filosopi. Katanya... kalau semakin kita belajar sesuatu, kita bukan semakin banyak tahu tapi justru semakin banyak ga tahu karena kita akan semakin bertanya-tanya tentang hal tersebut.

ohya.
Happy Birthday to Lukman, a nice classmate originally from Malaysia.
Have a nice life!!!

!!Happy Birthdaay Ayaaah!!

dear God.

Thanks for giving me a perfect person in my life, the one i called as AYAH.

Thank you Ayah, for being the best place for me to take a shelter in my whole lifetime and days, the good days and the bad ones.

There's my Ayah, he struggling along the way for my needs more than his need. He always went worked at seven in the morning and went back home at nine in the night. He was already old with the gray hair on your head. He did not go to work by car, he take a walk and a public bus for hours before arrive at his office.

There's my Ayah. Both of us have a lot of similarity. Thanks for givin me the genetics of easy going and simple way of thinking, it is really helpful to have a trait like this, it really made us happy to enjoy life, isnt it Dad?

There's my Ayah. He does know about music and movies especially at his era. It makes me know a lot about vintage stuff. He teach me about Beatles, the Bee Gees, Rolling Stones, Koes Bersaudara, and others. While in my teenage i was listened to boyzone, spice girls, and christina, can you imagine what he used to listen? He was a fans of Linkin Park, M2M, Korn and Limp Bizkit. ahahahaha, how ridiculous am i.

There's my Ayah. While my Bunda don't like movies at all. My Ayah loves it, especially the war movies and action. Every time i go back home, we always watch movies until late at night.

There's my Ayah. He is my best teacher for social sciences a.k.a IPS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial). He knows a lot about geography, countries, culture and tradition, history of world and indonesian. He used to ask me about IPS stuff and when i didnt know the answer, he said "eei, bodoh itu namanya, itu kan pelajaran kelas 4 itu". hihihi, that words would still in my mind forever.

There's my Ayah. My best place to talk about anything without any doubts. I'd love to talk about anything, about my school, my days, my loveliving, my dreams, movies, history, and others. He's my conversation-bestfriend. Our best time to talks are in the dining-table and along the road to somewhere.

There's my Ayah. He doesnt always complete all my money needs. But more than that, he gave a faith in me that i can reach my dream as high as i would.

He is a very easy going but i giggles a lot and touched when i knew from my mom that at the first time i moved to Palembang, he didn't want to went to the Soekarno-Hatta just because he didn't have the heart to go there. ahihihi, i never thought he could be so sentimental like that.

Thank God for givin me my dad.
The person named Raden Bambang Kustadi Poernomo Ajie, the angel that i called.. "AYAH".

Happy Birthday Ayahku :)
i love you, i always do.

Film Perang Terbaik.

5. The Downfall (Dier Undergank)

3. Saving Private Ryan

cerita tentang pencarian seorang prajurit bernama Ryan untuk dipulangkan karna semua anak ibunya telah gugur.

2. Letters from Iwojima

(film asing terbaik golden globe 2006)
cerita bagaimana Jepang mempertahankan pulau miliknya dari serbuan Amerika.

1. Platoon

(film terbaik oscar 1986)
Filmnya menyentuh banget, sampai-sampai saya rasanya mau nangis nontonnya. huehue

Melalui menonton film perang, kadang kita bisa ngeliat bagaimana seorang manusia bisa jadi ga punya nurani seperti binatang dan bagaimana seorang manusia diperlakukan selayaknya binatang.
huah, semoga ga ada lagi dh perang apapun.

World peace :) amen
